About the Author

Eleanor Liggens grew up in rural Louisiana watching her father work in the cotton gin long, hard hours and decided upon a different life. Eleanor is a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University in elementary education through an officer ROTC program. She served in the Army for several years and after reaching the rank of captain, she now works at the Washington Navy Yard as a budget analyst for the Navy. She and her husband and their two children live in the Washington area.
